Episode 110: Hot Spot

How Pizza Boxes can reach college students

Wes Aarum joins us to talk about the Chapel’s Hot Spot ministry and how you can start a new college ministry to share the gospel with students on campus with little resources or experience. Wes is the College and Young Adult Pastor at the Chapel in Buffalo New York and has served in young adult ministry for the past 18 years.

Notable Points:

  • Hotspot Pizza Box is a kit to help start and partner with other college and young adult ministries
    • Includes a t-shirt, several, books, and other helpful tools.
  • What it looks like:
    • Go to the website and click the link that says I am interested.
    • Fill out the application and send it in and talk to Hot Spot.
    • The box is sent out to with the materials and tools and the teaching is broadcast to you via the internet.
    • The materials and execution is flexible and check ups are regular in order to help anyone who is interested in using these ministry tools.
  • The target is for places where there currently is no ministry for college students.
  • The teachings are 100% free!
  • The goal is to share the gospel with as many college students as possible.
  • This ministry is dependent on student initiative and inviting other students to join in what they are doing.
