Multiply

OU BCM Story: Multiplying Disciples, Multiplying Ministries

We’re happy to share a new video from BCNet that shows what happens when churches invest in multiplying disciples on college/university campuses.

This video was produced by the Baptist Collegiate Network to remind Southern Baptist churches about the power and potential that comes from investing in collegiate ministry. Regardless of your denominational background or ministry model, we think you’ll be encouraged by the story of multiplication that you’ll see.

Long story short, Max Barnett became the director of the Baptist Student Union at the University of Oklahoma and began investing his life deeply in just a handful of students. From his first Bible study group, three students graduated and went on to lead collegiate ministries on other campuses of what was then the Big 8 Conference. What follows is a magnificent story of these ministries continuing to make disciples and send missionaries out to impact the world.

We hope this video will encourage you by reminding you just what is possible when leaders commit their lives to reaching, discipling, and sending college students out with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Don’t forget to read our article “Dialing in the DNA” by Chase Abner that talks about what he discovered as he worked with the team producing this video.
