Today, David joins us to talk about casting a vision for multiple campuses in one area and having a heart for that city. David is the director of a campus ministry called Challenge in San Diego.

Notable Points:

  • Our goal should be to fill the world and specifically our ministry field with the Gospel.
  • Just filling one room is too small of a vision.  Expand to campuses or community within close driving distances. (3:30-7:50)
    • Do this by doing mission work in the surrounding area of your campus.
      • When you go there God may give you a heart for that area. (5:30)
    • Continue to tell your students your vision for the area to the point that they are sick of your vision. (10:00-12:45)
      • If you want a bigger staff then you should have a bigger vision.
      • Is my vision bigger than my current staff?
      • Don’t put God in a box with your vision, but still use wisdom when expanding
  • Your style of ministry may only reach a certain type of person (13:00-15:00)
    • This may make it easier to reach people on a different campus.
